The winners of the International Aerial Photographer of the Year competition have been announced, featuring a diverse collection of striking images captured from high above the Earth's surface. Judges reviewed 1,587 entries from photographers worldwide.

Azim Khan Ronnie was awarded the top title for a photograph depicting thousands of Siberian seagulls feeding in Yamuna Ghat, India. The competition also recognized other notable works, including "Dawn Net" by Chin Leong Teo, which captures a fisherman's yellow net spread across the water, and Kah-Wai Lin's third-place image of Yilki horses galloping at sunset in Cappadocia, Turkey.

Another winning photograph, by Vitaly Golovatyuk, shows a bird on a clear lake reflecting the sky, surrounded by red grass in Dongtai, China. Amateur and professional photographers submitted their work, with a strict prohibition on the use of AI in submissions.

Beyond the top awards, the competition highlighted a range of aerial perspectives. Rhiannon Lawler's image shows a polar bear on an iceberg in East Greenland, while Chengming Liu documented California's Diablo Range after winter rains. Barbara Brown's submission captured the Salt Works in Walvis Bay, Namibia, and Sanghamitra Sarkar's photo depicted Hindu pilgrims gathered in a circular pattern.

Additional featured images include A J Rich's shots of the Badlands in Utah, Chin Leong Teo's portrayal of Bali's rice terraces, and Azim Khan Ronnie's photographs of Hindu devotees in Dhaka and chilli pepper harvesting in Bangladesh. The collection also includes images of a traffic junction in Tokyo and the Park Royal Hotel in Singapore, both by Chin Leong Teo.

Winners will have their photographs published in an annual awards book. The overall winner receives $5,000 and a trophy.
