Oliver and James Phelps, known for their roles as the Weasley twins in the "Harry Potter" film series, are planning to watch the forthcoming HBO adaptation of the beloved books. "It's out on Christmas Day, isn't it? Apart from the King's speech, we don't really have much on the TV at the house on Christmas Day," Oliver Phelps quipped to Page Six, indicating they "probably" will tune in.

As they were not involved in the new series, the Phelps twins said they don't know many details beyond its release. "It'll be interesting to see what the different take on it is," James Phelps added. "Whatever comes from this, we've had the most incredible time doing the films. So, I'm sure the [actors] will have an incredible time with the TV show."

Tristan and Gabriel Harland are set to portray Fred and George Weasley in the new series. The Phelps twins have reached out to the actors, sending a message "wishing them all the best." They have not had further contact to allow the new actors to focus on their roles.

Recalling their time on the film sets, which spanned from 2001 to 2011, James noted the lingering memories of iconic British actors like Maggie Smith, Alan Rickman, and Michael Gambon. He particularly remembered Gambon, who played Dumbledore, as being the most different off-screen from his on-screen persona and a "practical joker through and through."

The cast of "Harry Potter" maintains a connection through a group chat, which James described as akin to "friends from high school or college." Although he admits to muting notifications, he acknowledged Tom Felton once chided him for not replying, showcasing the camaraderie within the group. "You'll send them a message saying, 'Best of luck with it!' We've had quite a few messages [from Potter alums] saying, 'All the best for the new season!'" Oliver said.

The Phelps twins are currently hosting Season 3 of their Food Network series, "Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking," which features teams creating Wizarding world-themed treats. The show revisits iconic sets, evoking nostalgia for their formative years in the film industry. "The only thing I've got Harry Potter in my house is my Lego character. That's the only thing on display," Oliver admitted, reflecting on the enduring presence of the franchise in his life.

"Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking" airs on Food Network and streams on HBO Max.
