Lourdes Leon, the daughter of pop icon Madonna, is venturing further into the music industry with the release of her new single, "Tramp Stamp." The 30-year-old artist, who records under the name Lola Leon, has accompanied the experimental track with a series of provocative photographs.

In the accompanying photoshoot, Leon adopts daring poses, at times wearing only sheer lingerie. One image captures her on all fours, while another shows her lifting her tank top to expose her chest. The single "Tramp Stamp" was co-written by Leon and musician Oscar Scheller, who has previously worked with artists such as Pink Pantheress and Lily Allen.

Leon has charted a course distinct from her mother's commercial pop career, opting instead for releases through the New York-based indie label Chemical X. Despite her desire for independence, she recently collaborated with Madonna on the song "The Test" from Madonna's album "Finally Enough Love: 50 Number Ones." This track delves into their complex mother-daughter relationship, with Madonna reflecting on the pressures placed upon Lourdes and Lourdes expressing her feelings about growing up under intense public scrutiny.

Madonna has spoken about the initial challenges of collaborating with her daughter, noting Leon's reluctance to be perceived as benefiting from her mother's fame. "She held onto a lot of resentment," Madonna told Graham Norton, explaining that Leon felt controlled and sought independence from a young age. The "Material Girl" also acknowledged that she didn't fully grasp the impact her fame had on her daughter. However, the mother-daughter duo found healing through their songwriting collaboration on "The Test," with Madonna expressing happiness over the project.

"She approached me, she's been very reticent to work with me. She doesn't want to be perceived as my daughter, taking advantage of her privilege," Madonna recalled. "She's been very standoffish and working at her own pace, and I respect that deeply. She's a great songwriter and has a much better voice than I do."

Madonna added that Leon initiated the collaboration, seeking a "healing experience" where both could express their perspectives. "You say exactly what you want to say and I will say exactly what I want to say," Leon reportedly told her mother. Madonna described the experience as positive, praising Leon's lyrics. The relationship, while now collaborative, has seen past tensions, with Leon previously describing her mother as a "control freak" and emphasizing her efforts to achieve financial independence, including paying for her own college tuition and first apartment.
