Former Coronation Street actress Arianna Ajtar has announced her engagement to her long-term, unnamed fiancé. Ajtar, 30, who previously played Olivia Radfield on the ITV soap, has transitioned from acting to become a successful fashion mogul.
Ajtar revealed the news by posting images of her engagement ring on Instagram, celebrating with her friend, Love Island star Mary Bedford. She captioned the post: "celebrating love with my favourite people."
Ajtar launched her fashion brand, Mars The Label, in 2016 from her father's living room in Bolton. She identified a gap in the market for clothing suitable for nights out. While studying acting at Liverpool University, she reportedly raised £3,000 to start the brand by working two jobs.
Mars The Label has since grown into a multi-million pound business, gaining recognition from celebrities such as Khloe Kardashian, Megan Thee Stallion, and Olivia Pierson. Khloe Kardashian notably wore one of the brand's outfits while celebrating Easter with her family and praised it as the "cutest fit."
Ajtar stated that her inspiration came from her own and her friends' struggles to find desired pieces online. She emphasized the importance of authenticity and dedication to one's core values in the evolving fashion industry, attributing her brand's success to staying true to its identity.
The fashion brand, which remains based in Bolton, offers clothing in sizes four to 20. Ajtar has expressed her intention to open a warehouse in the U.S. later this year to address rising tariffs.
Ajtar's acting career on Coronation Street included playing Olivia Radfield intermittently between 2018 and 2019. Her character was involved in storylines concerning a fashion shoot at the Underworld factory and a plot involving her parents faking her mother's death.
