Eagle-eyed viewers of the BBC soap opera EastEnders have pointed out a continuity error that occurred during a recent scene involving characters Bea and Billy. The mistake, which involved a prop corkscrew, was widely discussed on social media platforms like TikTok and Twitter.
During the episode, Bea threatened Billy with a corkscrew. However, fans observed that the prop appeared to change its appearance between camera cuts. Initially, the corkscrew had a plain handle, but in subsequent shots, it was seen with a green handle. This inconsistency was noted by viewers who shared their observations online, with one commenting, "anyone else notice the corkscrew bea was holding kept changing..." Another viewer on Twitter wrote, "A few continuity problems on #Eastenders tonight !! First Bea had a green plastic corkscrew than a shiny one then a green one again ??"
This is not the first time EastEnders has faced scrutiny for on-screen blunders. Earlier in the year, fans identified two continuity issues during a kidnapping storyline featuring the character Max Branning. In that instance, viewers pointed out that a different individual, who had a full head of hair, appeared to be driving Max's car when Max himself is known for being bald. Additionally, the license plate number on the vehicle was observed to change within the same sequence of scenes.
The continuity error involving the corkscrew has added to a history of similar observations by the show's dedicated fanbase, who are quick to notice and discuss discrepancies.
