Diane Kruger celebrated her 50th birthday recently, demonstrating a remarkably youthful appearance that has drawn attention. The German actress, known for her roles in "Troy" and "National Treasure," marked her milestone birthday in Venice.
Kruger, who first achieved fame as a model in the 1990s, has maintained a youthful look over three decades in the public eye. She has spoken about learning to embrace the natural changes that come with age, emphasizing the importance of self-love and acceptance. Her approach to aging is centered on a focus on her health, diet, and fitness.
Following the birth of her daughter, Nova Tennessee, Kruger re-engaged with her fitness routine to prepare for her role in the 2019 film "The 355." She began training six months postpartum for the action-heavy movie. "It was daunting," Kruger told Women's Health, "But after six months of being a full-time mom, I was ready to get back to me, and to get out of the house."
Her fitness regimen includes boxing drills, running, and two-hour training sessions. These workouts incorporate exercises such as elliptical, burpees, box jumps, sit-ups, planks, and 20-pound squats. Kruger noted that her metabolism began to change around age 32, prompting her to incorporate more traditional workouts.
To combat fatigue, Kruger takes vegan multivitamins. She also prioritizes cooking healthy meals from scratch daily for her family. She told Grazia, "We're healthy, I'm always trying to be rational about what I buy and what we need. I hate throwing away food."
Kruger has described her approach to aging as natural. "While I appreciate the benefits of skincare treatments like facials and massages, I prioritize practices that promote overall wellness and vitality," she told Women&Home. "With age and motherhood, I've experienced a profound shift in my perception of myself. Keeping fit, healthy, and strong for myself and my daughter is my main priority."
Her diet includes a protein-heavy breakfast of poached eggs, avocado, and multigrain bread. For lunch, she often has salmon with vegetables, and for dinner, chicken or veal. Kruger believes in moderation, balance, and enjoyment in both her diet and fitness routine.
