Actress Denise Welch, 68, has shared a moment of relaxation in Malibu, California, following her son Matty Healy's recent wedding. Welch posted a photo of herself lounging in a black, plunging swimsuit, indicating she was enjoying downtime after the celebrations.

Healy, the 37-year-old frontman of The 1975, married American model Gabbriette Bechtel, 28, in a ceremony held on Saturday, July 18, under the Hollywood sign. Welch described the event as the "happiest time of her life" and a "magical, beautiful few days."

Welch, who resides primarily in the UK with her husband Lincoln Townley, 53, also spends time in California. She shared behind-the-scenes photos from the wedding festivities, showcasing moments with her new daughter-in-law, Bechtel, and pop star Charli XCX. In one photo, Bechtel wore a white suit adorned with feathers and a bridal top hat, while Welch sported an off-the-shoulder dusty pink dress. Welch also shared images with Bechtel's mother, Chayo, and sister, Marcella, all wearing "Gabbrietty" T-shirts featuring images of the newlyweds.

Welch expressed her joy for the couple, captioning one post, "We love our new family." She added, "To see my eldest son marry the most beautiful, funny, crazy girl under the Hollywood sign was a night I'll never forget. They are made for each other."

The wedding took place at Castillo del Lago, a property formerly owned by Madonna, and was attended by celebrity guests including Charli XCX and actress Emily Ratajkowski. Healy, who previously had a brief relationship with Taylor Swift in 2023, celebrated with family and bandmates from The 1975.

Welch appeared to have embraced the celebratory atmosphere, as evidenced by photos of her partying with Charli XCX. For the wedding ceremony, Welch chose a pink dress, and for an earlier event during the weekend, she wore a stylish black one-shoulder dress.

Welch's post from Malibu, captioned simply "Malibu," suggests a period of recovery and reflection after the extensive wedding celebrations.
