Daisy May Cooper appeared on ITV's 'This Morning' to discuss her debut novel, 'What Took You So Long?', and shared insights into her significant weight loss and a past television opportunity she declined.

Cooper, 40, showcased a 10-stone weight loss, having transitioned from a dress size 24 to a size 10. She attributed this change partly to following the ultra low-carb Keto diet, though she later expressed reservations about recommending it. The actress also revealed she had to withdraw from the first series of 'Celebrity Traitors' because she could not secure childcare for her three young children.

"Nobody wanted to look after my kids because they're a complete nightmare," Cooper explained to hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley. The show's requirement for contestants to stay in hotels, which she noted were not even basic 'Premier Inn' standard, further complicated arrangements.

Cooper also addressed the negative online reactions she faced after her weight loss. She stated that she no longer owns a phone due to the hurtful comments and that her personal assistant manages her Instagram account. "People are so f***ing horrible and mean and say such horrible things, I just can't even go near it [her phone]," she said. She expressed particular distress over comments suggesting her humor might be diminished due to her changed appearance, worrying about its potential impact on her acting roles.

"It's so mad that as women we even have to think about that," Cooper remarked, highlighting the societal pressures women face regarding appearance and health. She shared that at her heaviest, she was a size 24 and experienced physical ailments such as chest pains and breathlessness from simple activities like climbing stairs.
