Daisy Edgar-Jones has provided a candid look into her personal life, discussing the strains of maintaining a relationship with photographer Ben Seed due to their busy schedules and her concerns about fertility stemming from her battle with endometriosis. In a recent interview with Vogue, Edgar-Jones, 28, revealed that she and Seed, 37, strive to not go more than three weeks apart.
Edgar-Jones relocated to east London to be closer to Seed, who previously lived in London Fields. "I didn’t know this area well until I met my boyfriend, who lived in London Fields," she shared. "Then I fell in love with east London."
The couple, who met on a blind date, rely on technology to bridge the distance. "It can be hard when I’m so far away, it can be really tough, but thank goodness for FaceTime," Edgar-Jones stated. "We find ways to make it work."
She described Seed as a significant source of support, noting, "He’s so supportive and really champions me in a way that is so magic. I feel very safe and happy."
Beyond the logistics of their relationship, Edgar-Jones also addressed her desire to have children and her worries that endometriosis could impact her ability to conceive. "A big thing [with the condition] is struggling to have kids and I definitely don’t want it to get in the way of that," she said. Edgar-Jones has been open about her experience with the chronic condition, which began in her late teens and caused significant pain in her early twenties. She has since adopted an anti-inflammatory diet and reduced her alcohol intake to manage the symptoms, acknowledging a persistent concern that it could return.
She is advocating for greater awareness of endometriosis, emphasizing that many women are unaware they have it. "It affects so many women and many don’t know they have it," Edgar-Jones commented. "Of course cramping is normal but to be doubled over in pain isn’t. You shouldn’t have to grin and bear it."
In addition to her personal revelations, Edgar-Jones is preparing for the UK release of a new adaptation of Jane Austen's "Sense And Sensibility" in September, where she plays Elinor Dashwood. She also spoke about her upcoming role in the thriller "Enter A Place In Hell" alongside Michelle Williams, describing the character as one who "takes up space, is clear on her goals, has drive, is forceful, front-footed, takes the reins."
