Christian Bale has spoken with rare candor about his admiration for his daughter, Luka Bale, 21, highlighting her considerable talents as a photographer and model.

"She's incredibly talented as a photographer and as a model herself, and I do see her directing me one day," Bale told E! News at the Madden premiere in Los Angeles. "She's got an amazing mind. An amazing creative brain and incredible visions, et cetera. I'm so bloody proud of her."

Bale even joked about the possibility of his daughter taking the helm in a professional capacity, adding, "I'd probably behave better for her than everybody else ever. I'm terrified."

Luka Bale made her runway debut at the age of 16 for Dolce & Gabbana's Alta Moda fashion show in Venice, Italy, in 2021. She has since continued to work with the fashion house, participating in their shows. She is represented by Elite Model Management Paris.

Beyond modeling, Luka has pursued photography, sharing some of her creative work on social media. She has also appeared in minor roles in her father's films, including Ford v Ferrari (2019) and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022).

Christian Bale and his wife, Sibi Blažić, who is also a model, have two children: Luka and their 12-year-old son, Joseph. The couple met when Blažić was an assistant to Winona Ryder, with whom Bale was working on Little Women in 1994. They married in Las Vegas in 2000.

Blažić herself has received two SAG Award nominations for her stunt team work in films like Ford v Ferrari and The Dark Knight Rises.

In addition to his family life and career, Bale has been involved in philanthropic efforts. In September, he and Blažić opened a village in Palmdale, California, designed to house foster siblings together, preventing them from being separated by the foster care system. Bale has been working on this project since Luka's birth in 2005, motivated by the number of children in foster care in the state. The village includes 12 houses, two studio apartments intended to aid in the transition to independent living for young adults, and a community center on 4.7 acres. The project, developed by Bale's organization Together California, is estimated to have cost $22 million.
