Brooklyn Beckham has removed a photograph from his Instagram account that showed Damian Hurley with his arm around Beckham's wife, Nicola Peltz. The removal followed comments from social media users who suggested Beckham appeared as a "spare part" or "out of place" in the image.
The photo, part of a carousel shared from a Los Angeles Halloween party, depicted Peltz and Hurley posing together in matching leather outfits, with Beckham standing behind them. Many commenters noted the visual dynamic, with one user stating, "Bless him he looks like a spare part."
Beckham has since edited the post to include only pictures of himself and Peltz. He also shared a solo photo of his wife on his Instagram Stories, captioned "my girl" and set to Ariana Grande's song "Dangerous Woman."
Peltz and Hurley's coordinating leather ensembles bore a resemblance to outfits worn by Brooklyn's parents, David and Victoria Beckham, in 1999. Peltz was dressed as Catwoman, while Hurley wore a dark leather look. Brooklyn, meanwhile, opted for a Superman T-shirt and glasses.
Beckham and Peltz recently celebrated their seven-year anniversary, sharing affectionate posts on social media. However, Beckham also posted a defiant message about his wife, stating, "Yeah I am obsessed with my wife. Bring on the comments, I don't care. She's perfect xx."
Beckham and Peltz first reconnected at a Halloween party in Los Angeles in 2019, after initially meeting at Coachella in April 2017. Hurley, the son of actress Elizabeth Hurley, and Beckham have been friends since childhood and share Sir Elton John as a godfather.
