Britney Spears publicly expressed deep resentment towards her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, and her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, in a pointed Instagram post. Spears alleged that both had made her feel like a "slave" and engaged in secret dealings behind her back.

"Jamie Lynn never let me hold [niece] Ivy one time when I would visit in Louisiana during covid in two week trips," Spears wrote, accompanying her statement with an image from the film "Uptown Girls." She also claimed that Federline prevented her from using the bathroom when she picked up their children, Sean Preston and Jayden James.

"They made me feel like a slave and have all their secret things they did behind my back and all I ever did was work for my dad!!! I will find a new family!!!" Spears declared.

Page Six reported that Spears' outburst comes shortly after news broke that Federline was facing a significant credit card bill following the conclusion of Spears' child support payments. Federline reportedly owes at least $117,704 to City National Bank for credit card, line of credit, and overdraft balances. He entered into an agreement with the bank in late November, coinciding with the final child support payment from Spears.

Spears was initially ordered to pay Federline $40,000 per month. This amount was reduced to $20,000 per month after their elder son, Sean Preston, turned 18 in 2023, and the payments continued until Jayden James graduated high school.

Additionally, Federline reportedly faced a separate lawsuit from Bank of America in February for an unpaid credit card balance of $12,186.64.

The estrangement between Britney Spears and her sister Jamie Lynn has persisted for years, largely stemming from issues related to Spears' conservatorship and finances. Britney felt betrayed by her family, including Jamie Lynn, for their alleged lack of support and for not assisting her in ending the conservatorship, which was terminated in November 2021.

Spears has previously accused Jamie Lynn of profiting from her family's fame and assets while remaining silent. In 2022, Jamie Lynn promoted her memoir, "Things I Should Have Said," and characterized Britney's behavior as erratic and paranoid in interviews, asserting she had attempted to help her sister. Britney responded by calling Jamie Lynn a "selfish little brat" on social media and issuing a cease-and-desist letter through her legal team.
