Bella Maclean, known for her role as Taggie O’Hara in the television adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s “Rivals,” has been pictured with her new boyfriend, artist Ted Hansen, in Mojacar, Spain. The appearance occurred on Friday, ahead of the wedding of her co-star Emily Atack.
Maclean, 28, was seen with Hansen in the Spanish town, dressed casually in a baseball cap and blue shorts. The couple appeared to be affectionate, with a source telling the Daily Mail that they have been dating for some time. The pair were reportedly seen enjoying a performance by Tony Hadley of Spandau Ballet in May, where Maclean was observed interacting with Hansen.
Maclean's co-stars Alex Hassell and Victoria Smurfit were also present in Mojacar for Atack’s wedding festivities. Hassell, who played Rupert Campbell-Black, arrived with his wife, Emma King. Smurfit, who portrays Maud O'Hara, was seen arriving at the airport with her husband, Steve Jacobs. Rufus Jones, who plays Paul Stratton, was also in attendance with his wife.
Emily Atack is set to marry Dr. Alistair Garner in a ceremony at a 16th-century church in Mojacar. Atack was observed on Saturday overseeing preparations, which included rented courtyards of neighboring restaurants and deliveries of Cava and other beverages for an after-party.
Maclean, who resides in North London, has previously kept her personal life private. Her new partner, Hansen, is an artist who creates surreal wall hangings and studied at Falmouth and Leeds University. Maclean recently returned from filming an independent movie, “In Starland,” in Mississippi, following a 10-month shoot for “Rivals.”
