Barry Manilow, 83, has canceled his scheduled performances in Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday nights due to technical and vocal issues. The singer announced the cancellation Friday afternoon, hours before he was set to take the stage at the Westgate International Theater.

"We’re very sorry but we have to cancel tonight’s and tomorrow’s performances," Manilow stated on his Instagram account. "Due to technical and vocal problems, we’re unable to put on our show. Refunds will automatically be processed via your point of purchase."

This recent cancellation follows another at the end of April, where Manilow's Kentucky concert in Lexington was rescheduled due to "unforeseen circumstances." He had previously postponed a March 9 show in the same city as he recovered from surgery.

Manilow underwent surgery for lung cancer late last year. He was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer in November, after seeking medical attention for hip pain. The diagnosis came after he had twice battled bronchitis and underwent an MRI scan on his lungs and pelvis.

"If he hadn't done that, man ... he saved my life, because there's no symptoms for what I had," Manilow told People in March. "I could go on, nothing hurt - but they found the dot in my lung."

He described the cancer as a serious discovery, noting that it had not spread and he had caught it before it became more advanced. The experience prompted introspection about the fragility of life and his career accomplishments.

In June, Manilow shared an update on his recovery with NPR, indicating that a full recovery from such surgery can take up to a year. He expressed some uncertainty about the impact on his vocal cords, despite assurances from his medical team.

Fans have responded to the cancellations with messages of support, wishing the singer well and acknowledging his demanding schedule.

Fans wrote in the comments: 'Sending Barry best wishes and tons of positive vibes I am half his age and would not be able to keep up his schedule. Take care of yourself and rest'
