Early 2000s reality television personality Bam Margera has arrived in Sydney, Australia, for his first live tour in 13 years. Margera, 47, was seen at Sydney Airport on Wednesday ahead of his scheduled spoken-word and question-and-answer shows.

Margera arrived wearing a blue graphic t-shirt, black jeans, and sneakers, carrying a skateboard and several bags. His tattoos were visible on his short-sleeved shirt, and he accessorized with silver wings.

This visit comes after the former Jackass star detailed a frightening hospitalization in December 2022. Margera stated on the Steve-O's Wild Ride! podcast in January 2023 that he was "basically pronounced dead" on December 8, 2022, following a series of seizures. He explained that he had contracted a severe case of COVID-19, which led to complications including multiple seizures. During one seizure, Margera bit his tongue severely, causing it to swell and leading him to swallow his own blood, which resulted in pneumonia. He experienced a fifth seizure and required life support for 10 days in an intensive care unit in San Diego.

"I woke up five days later thinking I was there for a couple hours," Margera recounted. "They're like, 'Dude you've been here for nearly a week. We tried to take the tube out, and you weren't breathing on your own.'"

Margera was released from the hospital in mid-December 2022. His family later shared an update on his Instagram, confirming his hospitalization but assuring fans that he was recovering, testing negative for COVID-19, and receiving care for pneumonia. "Bam is on the road to recovery," the family statement read, thanking fans for their "positive prayers."
