Ariana Grande has reportedly retreated to the Oxfordshire countryside to prepare for her upcoming London tour dates, seeking a break from public scrutiny over her appearance. Grande, 33, is said to have stayed at the exclusive private members' club Soho Farmhouse with her boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, following a period of intense public attention.
The singer, who recently announced she would be taking time off after completing her current run of concerts, traveled to the UK and briefly stayed in London before heading to the countryside retreat. According to reports, Grande and Alvarez spent two days at the farm, utilizing its spa facilities for relaxation before her performances at the O2 Arena.
A source indicated that Soho Farmhouse provided a suitable environment for Grande to recuperate due to its strict privacy rules. "The club has strict rules about not bothering celebs, so it was a perfect place for Ariana to recuperate before her London shows," the source told The Sun. Alvarez reportedly engaged in country activities, including clay-pigeon shooting.
Adding to the secluded atmosphere, Sabrina Carpenter was also reportedly on-site at the same time. Carpenter, who previously recorded her album "Man's Best Friend" at the location, was described as mingling with other guests.
This is not Grande's first visit to the Soho Farmhouse. She was previously seen there in 2023 with her then-boyfriend Ethan Slater, around the time of her 30th birthday. At that time, her separation from ex-husband Dalton Gomez had not yet been publicly disclosed. Their divorce was announced three weeks after that visit.
Grande recently re-established her relationship with Alvarez, a former backup dancer she dated between 2015 and 2016. She shared photos with him on Instagram earlier this week, shortly after announcing her intention to step back from public visibility. This announcement followed widespread online commentary and concern regarding her appearance in her new music video for "Petal," where her slim figure was noted by viewers.
The intense focus on her appearance in the music video led to widespread speculation about her health. In response, Grande's representative confirmed her plan to "take a step back from visibility" after the conclusion of her Eternal Sunshine Tour on September 1. A family insider also revealed that Grande's inner circle had urged her to take a career break. This hiatus includes her withdrawal from a planned West End production of "Sunday in the Park with George."
