Television presenter Amanda Holden has shared an amusing anecdote about a holiday mishap, during which her husband filmed her while she was naked attempting to retrieve a dropped moisturiser. The incident occurred in her hotel room when the cosmetic product fell behind a dresser.
Holden, co-host of Heart Breakfast, recounted the event on her radio show, explaining that her husband, Chris Hughes, opted to record the situation rather than assist. The presenter described having to contort herself to reach the moisturiser, stating, "I was totally naked and then I had to reverse out because it was only a small gap I’d pulled because it was so heavy."
She added that her husband "told me he’d videoed the entire thing." Holden confirmed she eventually retrieved the moisturiser.
Her co-host, Jason King, commented on the video, noting, "Nice to see Chris is still playing the annoying husband!"
Following her summer break, Holden has returned to work. She recently shared a trip to Crete with her eldest daughter, Lexi Hughes, and friends, including Sam Faiers, for whom Holden is an ambassador for her brand, Revive Collagen. Holden, 55, and her daughter, 20, were seen dressed for an evening out on the Greek island.
In a separate discussion about her daughter's burgeoning career in the modeling industry, Holden addressed the term "nepo baby." Lexi, signed by Storm Management, made her catwalk debut at London Fashion Week in 2024. Holden expressed her dislike for the term, arguing that while connections might open doors, success ultimately depends on individual effort. She emphasized that this applies to all industries, not just entertainment, and that having a famous parent can sometimes be a disadvantage.
Holden also noted her willingness to assist others, including friends' children and students, in gaining experience at Global Radio, where she hosts Heart Breakfast. She stated, "If I can help anyone, I'll do it. It's not just my own kids, it's my friends' kids."
