Amal Clooney donned a chic suede ensemble for a night out with her husband, George Clooney, attending a reading of the political comedy "Smear!" at New York’s Seaview Studio. The human rights lawyer opted for a caramel-colored Gucci suede trench coat from the label’s fall 2015 collection, which she paired with a mock-neck minidress and thigh-high black suede boots.
This is not the first time Clooney has showcased her affinity for statement boots. She previously wore a similar pair in February 2025 with a gray sweater dress and coat. In 2018, she paired a beige suede version of the thigh-high boots with a canary-yellow Lanvin coat, and in January of the current year, she wore cognac leather hip-high boots with a Stella McCartney minidress for a lunch outing.
Clooney has also incorporated suede into other recent ensembles. In July, she wore a vintage Thierry Mugler suede set with fringe detailing during a boat excursion in Capri. In September, she attended a dinner in Venice in a Caroline’s Couture minidress featuring aqua and silver fringe. George Clooney had previously remarked on his wife’s fashion choices during his Golden Lion acceptance speech, noting that she would be wearing a "very nice dress" for their celebratory dinner.
