The latest season of the popular Apple TV+ series "Ted Lasso" has introduced Maria Rojas, the sister of AFC Richmond's spirited striker Dani Rojas. Portraying Maria is actress Paloma Cinco, who is also the real-life sister of Cristo Fernández, the actor who plays Dani Rojas.

The reveal occurred in "Ted Lasso" Season 4, Episode 3, titled "Richmond’s Got Talent." The episode featured open tryouts for new talent, including the introduction of several new Lady Greyhounds players and Maria Rojas. While Maria claims to have learned everything about football from her brother, her tryout demonstrated she possesses sprinting ability and a positive attitude but lacks his football skills. Ultimately, she was not offered a spot on the team.

Paloma Cinco, who hails from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, is an actor, model, producer, and entrepreneur. Her acting studies took place at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and City Academy in London. Prior to "Ted Lasso," Cinco appeared in projects such as "Nothing to See Here," "Una Penquña Confusion," "De La Cruz," "No Translation Required," and "Womb Room."

Cinco and Fernández have a shared professional and personal connection. They are developing film projects together through their company, Espectro MX Films, and co-host the "Fútbol es vida" podcast, named after Dani Rojas's iconic catchphrase. Fernández had previously suggested his sister's appearance on the show, noting her natural talent for football.

While it remains uncertain whether Fernández will feature prominently in "Ted Lasso" Season 4, behind-the-scenes photos from the filming of Episode 3 showed him on set, supporting his sister. This has fueled speculation among fans for a potential on-screen reunion of the siblings.
