Daveigh Chase, the actress known for her roles in "The Ring" and as the voice of Lilo in Disney's "Lilo & Stitch," left behind an estate valued at approximately $400,000 in personal property, according to court documents obtained by Page Six. Chase died last month at the age of 35. Her mother, Cathy Chase, has filed a petition with the court to be appointed as the administrator of her daughter's estate. In the filing, Cathy Chase stated that Daveigh's father, John Schwallier, reportedly resides in the Philippines with an unknown address but also maintains properties in Las Vegas.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's report listed acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) as the primary cause of Chase's death. The report also cited chronic polysubstance use. Chase had no children and was not married. A GoFundMe campaign was created by an individual identified as her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, to support her in her final days.

However, Daveigh Chase's former manager, John Ryan, raised concerns about the GoFundMe, urging the public not to donate. Ryan stated that he and other friends and family members had no knowledge of a boyfriend named Roy Hernandez. He also asserted that Chase had a trust account set up with SAG-AFTRA to cover all costs and that she had "millions" in unclaimed residual checks at the time of her death. Ryan indicated that he and Chase's stepsister had attempted to locate her in 2025 with the help of a private investigator to provide assistance, but she disappeared again after they spoke by phone.

Despite the significant value of her estate and potential residual checks, video obtained by The Post last month showed Chase appearing extremely thin and barely conscious on the streets of downtown Los Angeles' skid row.

Chase's acting career began in early childhood. Her notable roles include playing the titular character in "The Ring" (2002) and voicing Lilo Pelekai in "Lilo & Stitch" (2002). She also lent her voice to the character Chihiro in the English dub of Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away" (2001) and appeared in "Donnie Darko" (2001).
