Abbey Clancy and Peter Crouch have shared insights into their ongoing house renovation, admitting the extensive project has put a strain on their relationship.
The couple, who temporarily moved to Portugal while searching for a new UK property after selling their Surrey home, discussed the challenges on their podcast, "The Therapy Crouch." Clancy revealed that delays in material deliveries led to frustration, with Peter initially believing she was having a "hissy fit" over the holdup.
"You just got a bit p****d off at me then when you thought I was throwing a hissy fit for it not being done," Clancy recounted on the podcast. Crouch responded by explaining he left the situation because he could see Clancy was upset and that her anger over the renovation was "creeping into how you speak to people."
Adding to the setbacks, Clancy expressed her "brokenhearted" disappointment that the family will not be in their new home for Christmas. The couple also acknowledged that they have "blown the budget on" the renovation. Despite the challenges, they described themselves as "blown away" by the property during visits, referring to it as their "forever home."
Clancy has shared glimpses of the renovation on her Instagram Story, showcasing a spacious master bedroom and en suite bathroom featuring a fireplace and marble flooring, with views of a landscaped garden. Downstairs, images revealed a large living room and kitchen area where Clancy selected the floor tiles.
The renovation project and the family's life changes will be a central focus of their upcoming documentary series, "The Crouches," set to air on Prime Video in 2027. The show will document their move from their former home, their decision to take on a new design project, and Clancy's efforts to manage the renovation while Crouch was away for the World Cup. The series aims to provide a candid look at their lives, with Crouch stating it will be "warts and all" and could rival "The Kardashians."
