Fans of the hit television series Breaking Bad were thrilled over the weekend as stars Aaron Paul and Krysten Ritter reunited at LA Comic Con. The show, which concluded in 2013 after five seasons, followed a high school chemistry teacher's transformation into a methamphetamine producer, with Paul playing his former student Jesse Pinkman and Ritter portraying Jane Margolis, Jesse's girlfriend and apartment manager.
Krysten Ritter shared a photo of the reunion on Instagram, noting it was a "joy to be reunited" and affectionately calling Paul "Jesse and Jane forever." The post quickly garnered enthusiastic responses from fans in the comments section, with many expressing their delight at seeing the pair together again.
Jesse and Jane's storyline on Breaking Bad ended tragically in season two when Jane died from an overdose. Ritter later reprised her role in the spin-off film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.
The reunion comes after a period of heartbreak for the Breaking Bad cast, with the recent passing of co-star RJ Mitte. Mitte, who was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, died by suicide in October. Both Paul and Bryan Cranston, who played Walter White, shared tributes to Mitte, with Cranston expressing his "deep despair" and emphasizing the importance of seeking help for mental health struggles.
