Victoria Beckham Holdings has reported its first operating profit in its 18-year history, achieving £7.3 million. The company, which encompasses both fashion and beauty divisions, attributed the turnaround to disciplined execution and strategic investment, particularly in streamlining operations.

According to a statement from David Belhassen, chairman of Victoria Beckham Holdings, the business is now well-positioned for future profitable growth with "two complementary growth engines in fashion and beauty, an increasingly international customer base and a focused operating model." This marks a significant achievement for the brand, which has previously navigated substantial losses and operational challenges.

CEO Sybille Darricarrère Lunel described reaching operating profit as a "landmark moment," emphasizing that the result was achieved against a backdrop of a challenging luxury market and broader economic conditions. She highlighted that this success reflects "several years of disciplined execution and strategic investment."

Previously, the company had acknowledged and addressed issues of inefficiency. Notes indicate efforts were made to tackle "mindblowing" waste, including costly logistical operations such as "flying chairs from one side of the world to another." Significant spending was also noted on operational expenses, such as £70,000 annually on office plants, as detailed by NEO's David Belhassen.

The company's strategic focus on its fashion and beauty segments, coupled with an expanding global customer reach, appears to be driving this new phase of profitability.
