A new mobile application, FarmFlow, has been developed by a young entrepreneur to address the complexities of modern farm management, particularly within the dairy sector. The app is designed to help farmers streamline operations, reduce paperwork, and ultimately gain more time with their families.

The transition to dairy farming can significantly alter a farmer's daily routine, introducing a more rigid schedule compared to other agricultural practices. The shift involves demanding milking schedules in both the morning and evening, leaving less flexibility for personal time. Farmers in Northern Ireland, for instance, work an average of 65 hours per week, often involving late nights and extensive administrative tasks that are not visible to the general public.

Recognizing these challenges, the app's creator, who identified a passion for problem-solving, sought to create a digital tool that could make farm businesses more efficient. The development of FarmFlow was inspired by the need to simplify the operational and compliance aspects of running a farm, allowing farmers to better manage their workload. This initiative also supports a campaign called 'Empty Table,' which aims to raise public awareness about the significant effort involved in food production.

The app was developed with the core idea of giving farmers more time with their families by making the business more manageable. The goal is to assist farmers in staying on schedule with their tasks and administrative duties, thereby improving the overall efficiency of their operations.
