Wall Street stocks advanced on Wednesday, with gains in major technology companies and relatively steady oil prices and bond yields helping to lift the market after a subdued start to the week. The rally followed a downbeat beginning to the week for investors.

Nvidia's stock experienced a significant surge, rising more than 3%, which contributed to the Dow Jones Industrial Average's upward movement. The S&P 500 and the Nasdaq composite also recorded gains of 0.5% each.

In commodity markets, Brent crude oil settled 1% higher at $95.63 per barrel, influenced by ongoing geopolitical tensions related to Iran. Chevron's stock saw a modest increase of 0.3% after the company confirmed plans to expand its operations in Venezuela.

Bond yields experienced a slight decrease, with the yield on the 10-year Treasury note falling to 4.78% from 4.79% recorded late Tuesday.
