State Farm has begun distributing $5 billion in dividend payments to eligible customers, with millions of checks already mailed. The company announced that payments started on July 31 and are being sent out in waves by state.

Over 7.2 million checks have been issued since the distribution began, and an additional 3.8 million are scheduled for release this week, according to a State Farm spokesperson. The company has not specified an end date for the dividend payments.

Eligible policyholders will be notified about their pending payments starting in late summer 2026. The dividend amounts will vary, based on a percentage of premiums paid, ranging from 4% to 10% depending on the customer's state. On average, customers can expect to receive approximately $100 per vehicle.

State Farm indicated that millions of customers have already received their payments, with more to come. The notification process and payment distribution are ongoing, with the company stating that customers will be informed regarding their specific dividend amounts and eligibility.
