Red Lobster is once again offering its Endless Shrimp promotion, a deal that previously led to significant financial losses for the company. The seafood chain, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in May 2024, stated the promotion's return is driven by sustained customer demand.

"They continued telling us they missed it, showed up when we brought it back this spring and kept asking for more after that run ended," Red Lobster said in a statement to Fox News Digital. "We weren’t going to walk away from something they love simply because the previous operating model did not work."

The current iteration of Endless Shrimp began on August 17th at participating locations for a limited time. Customers can choose from five shrimp preparations, including new garlic-bread-crusted shrimp, shrimp linguini Alfredo, garlic shrimp scampi, Parrot Isle coconut shrimp, and Walt's Favorite Shrimp. Guests can mix and match these options throughout their meal.

Analysts and media reports have frequently cited the company's decision to make Endless Shrimp a permanent offering in the past as a contributing factor to its financial difficulties. Red Lobster closed dozens of locations nationwide in May 2024 prior to its bankruptcy filing.

Red Lobster CEO Damola Adamolekun indicated in June 2026 that the company was planning "the greatest comeback in the history of the restaurant industry." This plan includes streamlining operations, closing underperforming restaurants, and engaging with customers by tapping into nostalgia.

The company stated it has rebuilt the Endless Shrimp promotion with enhanced operational and financial discipline, including improved forecasting, kitchen workflow, menu structure, and restaurant support. The current offer is designed as a dine-in experience, with pricing that may vary by market. "The new standard is simple: Endless Shrimp has to work for the guest, the restaurant team and the business," Red Lobster explained.

According to the company, the spring run of Endless Shrimp met and exceeded expectations, showing significantly higher guest satisfaction than average for Red Lobster promotions. Restaurant team support and internal satisfaction scores also reportedly improved, and customers continued to express interest in the promotion after it concluded.

Red Lobster emphasized that the changes reflect a broader shift in its operational approach, prioritizing the guest experience backed by strong operational discipline and financial rigor. This strategy of addressing past issues while leveraging popular offerings is guiding the company's overall business strategy.
