KFC Australia is expanding its breakfast offerings to more restaurants following a successful trial at Sydney Airport. The new menu will be available from 6 a.m. starting September 8 at select KFC locations on the Gold Coast and in Melbourne's CBD.

The expanded breakfast menu features classic items such as bacon and egg rolls, hash browns, and avocado toast. New additions include the BLAT (bacon, lettuce, avocado, and tomato), Chicken Toastie, and Bacon & Egg Pocket. A notable item is the Brekkie Tower, which includes an Original Crispy fillet, bacon, egg, cheese, tomato relish, and a hash brown in a soft burger bun. The Ultimate Brekkie Wrap, containing similar ingredients in a tortilla, is also available.

KFC Australia CMO Vanessa Rowed stated that the expansion aligns with the brand's entrepreneurial spirit and aims to cater to evolving consumer preferences. "We know Australians love their breakfast, and following the successful trial of KFC morning meals at Sydney Airport, we're excited to roll out our new menu and give customers even more ways to enjoy KFC throughout the day," Rowed said.

The menu incorporates fresh ingredients, including avocado with lemon and pepper seasoning, and a sweet and smoky tomato relish. Alongside food, KFC is introducing a range of made-to-order hot beverages, including cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites, mochas, long blacks, and espressos. Black tea and hot chocolate are also offered.

KFC previously offered breakfast items in Australia, with customers recalling the menu from the 1990s and as recently as a decade ago in some locations. The quiet launch at Sydney Airport earlier this year marked a return to breakfast for the chain in the market.

Approximately 16 participating restaurants on the Gold Coast and 13 in Melbourne's CBD will feature the breakfast menu.
