UK businesses are expressing anger and shock over drastic price increases for invoicing and timesheet software, with some reporting cost hikes of up to 1500%. One consultancy firm saw its monthly bill for the Harvest software surge from $130 (£95.50) to $2,110.

Richard Haldenby, head of UK consultancy firm Salentis, described the price increase as "daylight robbery." His firm, which has used Harvest for over 15 years, faces a potential doubling of its annual IT expenditure if the new rates are accepted. Haldenby noted that such an increase would be unaffordable for his business, which typically employs up to 15 staff.

Similar reports have emerged online, with one US-based user stating their annual charge rose from $2,800 to $23,000. Many businesses are only discovering these new charges as their annual payment renewals approach.

The price restructuring follows Harvest's acquisition by Italian tech company Bending Spoons in 2025, with the new pricing model implemented the subsequent year. Previously, businesses paid a flat monthly fee per user, allowing flexibility to adjust staffing needs without incurring additional costs beyond active user licenses. The updated model introduces charges based on factors such as the number of active projects, clients, and tasks, in addition to the total revenue invoiced through the platform. Harvest has been approached for comment.
