In-N-Out Burger opened its new drive-thru location in Irvine, California, on Friday, September 4. The restaurant is situated at 7900 Great Park Blvd. within The Canopy, a 12-acre shopping and dining center that marks the first phase of the Great Park Neighborhoods development.

The 3,860-square-foot In-N-Out location includes indoor seating for 84 customers and an additional 36 spots on its outdoor patio. The drive-thru lane can accommodate 33 vehicles. The restaurant will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 1:30 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

This opening marks the 443rd location for the fast-food chain. While headquartered in Irvine, In-N-Out has previously announced plans to eventually move its headquarters back to Baldwin Park, where it was founded, while also establishing an eastern headquarters near Nashville, Tennessee.

The new restaurant is a tenant in a larger development project that is repurposing the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro site. The Great Park is being transformed into an approximately 1,300-acre recreational and entertainment destination, a footprint larger than New York City's Central Park.

This ambitious $1 billion project is planned to include lakes, walking trails, museums, sports facilities, retail spaces, restaurants, and an amphitheater. The Canopy is designed as a destination for all-day visits and features other announced tenants such as the Asian grocery chain T&T Supermarket, Philz Coffee, and H&H Bagels.
