Good Good Golf has dismissed the individuals responsible for a controversial advertisement that depicted a man shoving a woman to the ground. CEO Matt Kendrick confirmed the firings, stating that those behind the ad have been removed from the company.

The advertisement, intended to mimic the horror film "A Nightmare on Elm Street," featured co-founder Garrett Clark pushing brand influencer Alexis Miestowski aside as she reached for a Callaway driver, with Clark exclaiming, "Do not touch my new driver."

Following the ad's release, Good Good Golf faced significant backlash for its portrayal of violence against women. The company has since removed the advertisement and issued an apology. The fallout has been substantial, leading to Callaway ending its partnership with the company. A planned show has been canceled, and some golf media outlets have reportedly removed Good Good Golf merchandise from their features. Additionally, the company withdrew from a scheduled sponsored PGA Tour event in Texas.

Kendrick stated that he did not personally see the advertisement before it was published and confirmed that while Good Good Golf created the ad, Callaway had approved it. He apologized for the ad's content and acknowledged that the company made a mistake.

Despite the significant repercussions, Kendrick expressed belief in Good Good Golf's potential to remain a factor in the golf industry. He indicated that the company is implementing improved internal processes and evaluating personnel to ensure future success and long-term viability.
