China's foreign exchange reserves saw a modest increase in October, rising by $17.2 billion to a total of $3.145 trillion. This uptick marks a slight recovery after a decrease in the previous month.
The People's Bank of China reported that the value of gold reserves also grew, reaching $155.3 billion. The Asian Development Bank has previously noted that while China's foreign exchange reserves are substantial, managing them effectively in a volatile global economic climate remains a key objective for the country's central bank.
