The Better Bakehouse Snack Company is recalling specific lots of its Donutful Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cake Donuts due to the potential presence of undeclared milk, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Monday.
The recall was initiated after the company discovered the products were mislabeled and an allergic reaction was reported. According to the FDA, individuals with a milk allergy or severe sensitivity could face a serious or life-threatening reaction if they consume the affected donuts.
The recalled product is limited to specific lots of Donutful Chocolate Dipped Vanilla Cake Donuts, 10 Mini Donuts, packaged in a 7.05 oz carton containing five 1.41-ounce pouches, with UPC: 3 50041 39210 3. These donuts were manufactured and distributed in March 2026.
The affected donuts were distributed to retailers across the United States and were also available for purchase through Amazon.com.
The company stated that consumer safety is its top priority and that it adheres to rigorous food safety and quality control standards. Better Bakehouse is collaborating with its contract manufacturer and retailers to ensure that all remaining affected products are removed from the marketplace. The individual who experienced an allergic reaction has since recovered.
The FDA indicated that the manufacturer has implemented corrective measures to address the mislabeling issue.
