Actress Aubrey Plaza has sold the Los Angeles home she shared with her late husband, Jeff Baena, at a financial loss. The sale closed Friday for $4.375 million, a figure lower than the $4.7 million she and Baena paid for the property in October 2022. This transaction occurred just weeks after Plaza welcomed her first child.

Plaza initially listed the Spanish-style residence in September 2025 for $6.5 million. The listing came eight months after Baena, a writer and director, died by suicide in the home at age 47. The property faced challenges in the market, with multiple price reductions over the year it was available. Most recently, it was listed for $5.3 million in May, following a previous sale that fell through earlier in the year. Reports in March indicated a buyer had been found, but that deal collapsed by mid-May, leading to the property being temporarily removed from the market before relisting on May 21.

The 1928 Los Feliz compound, located in the Los Feliz Oaks neighborhood, features four bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a swimming pool. The home includes period details such as stained glass windows and terracotta floors. The 4,064-square-foot property is described as a secluded sanctuary with authentic Spanish charm, boasting multiple outdoor living areas suitable for dining and entertaining.

Inside, the home features a kitchen with ample natural light and direct access to the backyard. Bathrooms are appointed with custom stone and wood accents. One secondary bedroom offers access to a sunroom with a private balcony. Additional amenities include a screening room, a wine cellar, and an integrated sound system.

The sale follows a period of significant personal events for Plaza. She and her boyfriend, actor Christopher Abbott, welcomed a child in July. Plaza confirmed her pregnancy in April and was later seen supporting Abbott at his Broadway performances. Plaza and Baena had been together since 2011 and married quietly, with Plaza confirming their union in May 2021. They separated in September 2024. Baena was found dead in the home on January 3, 2025, with the Los Angeles County Coroner ruling his death a suicide. Plaza has spoken about her grief, describing the loss as a "giant ocean of awfulness" and a "daily struggle."
