Apple has raised the monthly and annual prices for its Apple TV+ streaming service and its Apple One subscription bundle.
The monthly cost for Apple TV+ has increased from $12.99 to $14.99, with the annual subscription now priced at $119, up from $99. This marks the second price increase for the streaming service in as many years, having previously risen from $9.99 to $12.99 a year ago.
Apple also adjusted the pricing for its Apple One bundle, which combines Apple TV+ with other services such as iCloud storage, Apple Music, and Apple Arcade. The individual plan for Apple One is now $21.95 per month, an increase from $19.95.
Apple Music's monthly price also saw an increase in July, moving from $10.99 to $11.99.
These price adjustments follow a trend seen across the streaming industry, with services like Peacock, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, Max, and YouTube Premium implementing their own price hikes in recent years, often introducing options for ad-free viewing at a higher cost.
When Apple TV+ launched in 2019, its monthly subscription cost was $4.99. The service features original programming such as "Ted Lasso," "The Morning Show," and "Severance," as well as exclusive rights to the Charlie Brown specials and Formula 1 racing.
This news comes as Apple reported a record fiscal third quarter, with revenues reaching $109.4 billion, surpassing analysts' estimates. The company's performance was significantly boosted by a 22% increase in iPhone sales and record revenue from Mac computers during the spring quarter. Tariff refunds also contributed to Apple's profit, adding approximately 5% during the period.
Apple has been contacted for comment on the price changes.
