A strongly worded sign reportedly placed in a restroom at ANZ's global headquarters in Melbourne has caused an uproar, accusing female staff of "disgusting and shameful" behavior related to "accidents" in the facilities.

The sign, which circulated on the Instagram page 'theaussiecorporate', stated that "a few ladies" had left messes for the cleaning staff to handle, describing the situation as "unhygienic."

"What the cleaning team have to endure is disgusting, shameful and unhygienic," the sign read, according to reports. It further emphasized the building's "6-star" rating and stated that "1-star behaviours" would not be tolerated.

The note also indicated that surveillance cameras outside the changeroom entrances, coupled with hourly inspections, could identify individuals responsible for such incidents. It claimed management already had names of alleged offenders and threatened internal reporting.

"If we detect ANZ staff conducting themselves in such a way or damaging this facility, we will report the behaviour internally," the sign warned. Staff and visitors were also urged to report any poor behavior in the changerooms to help identify and cancel offenders' memberships.

The sign concluded with a sarcastic remark: "If using a toilet is something new for you and you need some help, let us knowm, maybe we can do some training with you."

An anonymous message shared with 'theaussiecorporate' claimed to be from a long-term employee who stated there had been "many ghastly incidents" that had negatively impacted cleaners. ANZ has been contacted for comment.
