Amazon Prime Video mistakenly made Jason Statham's new film "Mutiny" available for streaming in the United States on Wednesday morning, approximately one hour before its intended theatrical release on Friday. Subscribers were able to watch the full 95-minute film during the accidental window.

While the movie is no longer accessible on the platform, initial reports from users on social media platform X indicated the error. "I'm watching Jason Statham’s new movie Mutiny, streaming on Amazon for free right now. This has to be a huge mistake, right? My theater has showtimes starting this week!" one user posted. Another commented, "Someone is getting fired over at Amazon. They uploaded Jason Statham’s new movie Mutiny on Prime a day before it hits theaters."

"Mutiny" stars Statham as Cole Reed, a former Special Forces soldier operating as an elite personal bodyguard. The British actor is known for his roles in "The Transporter" trilogy and the "Fast & Furious" franchise, often performing his own stunts and portraying tough, antihero characters.

The film was produced by MadRiver Pictures and Punch Palace Productions, which is owned by Statham himself. Lionsgate is handling the distribution of "Mutiny." ![A screenshot of multiple "Mutiny" listings on Prime Video US, including one for 2026.]( "A screenshot of multiple "Mutiny" listings on Prime Video US, including one for 2026.")
