A murder investigation has been launched following a fire at a residential address in Hounslow, west London, that resulted in one fatality and nine injuries, the Metropolitan Police confirmed.
Officers responded to reports of the blaze on Berkley Avenue at approximately 1:14 a.m. BST. Nine individuals, comprising six men and three women, were transported to the hospital. A 48-year-old woman later died from her injuries. Another woman, aged 40, remains in a life-threatening condition.
The remaining seven individuals have been treated for minor injuries and discharged. No arrests have been made as of the latest update, but authorities believe the fire may have been started deliberately.

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed the incident appears to be isolated to the single residential address.
