UK rapper Yung Filly, whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, told a court in Western Australia on Monday that the "vibes were good" between him and a woman who accuses him of rape.

Barrientos, 30, is on trial in the District Court of Western Australia and faces six counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of strangulation. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The alleged incident occurred in his hotel room in 2024 after he performed at a nightclub in Hillarys, a coastal suburb of Perth. The woman was 20 years old at the time.

Barrientos testified that he had been attracted to the woman when they first met at the concert venue. He stated that he recalled touching her waist but denied touching her inappropriately, including putting his hands down her pants or on her breast.

He told the court that upon arriving at his hotel, the "vibes were good" between them. His security guard took the woman's phone as a "standard practice" to protect their privacy, according to Barrientos.

Previous court proceedings heard that the pair had engaged in consensual sexual activity before the alleged assault, with the woman reportedly telling Barrientos to stop.

Barrientos, also known for his work with the YouTube collective Beta Squad and appearances on television shows, had been touring Australia at the time of the alleged offenses. He was granted bail and allowed to return to the UK in September before coming back to Western Australia for his trial. He has a significant online following, with millions of subscribers and followers across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
