Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing incident at a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford, Hampshire, England. The arrests were made after police were called to an address on Park Road shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, where an unidentified group had reportedly gained entry to the event.
Of the five teenagers stabbed, two sustained serious injuries and remain in hospital. One 17-year-old victim is in a life-threatening condition. The other three injured teenagers have since been discharged from the hospital.
The two arrested individuals, both 17 and 16 years old and from Southampton, are currently in police custody. While witnesses reported that a fight began after a group entered the party by climbing over a garden fence, the motive for the stabbings remains unclear.
Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie stated that while the arrests are a significant development, the investigation is ongoing and urged the public to come forward with any information. Police are seeking witnesses from the party and any residents or individuals with relevant CCTV, mobile phone, dash cam, or doorbell camera footage covering the Park Road area. Police have cordoned off sections of Park Road and adjacent Valley Road as the investigation continues.
