A small tourist plane crashed into a field near Nazca, Peru, on Saturday, resulting in the deaths of all 13 individuals aboard. The aircraft was on a sightseeing flight over the Nazca Lines, a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring extensive geoglyphs created by Indigenous peoples hundreds of years ago.

The plane, operated by Peruvian company Aerodiana, had departed from the nearby city of Ica. Aerodiana has offered scenic flights over the Nazca Lines for the past 14 years, utilizing Cessna Grand Caravan planes, according to its website.
