A third teenager has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred at a Halloween party in Chandler's Ford, Eastleigh, on Saturday, October 31. Police arrested a 16-year-old boy from Bristol overnight on suspicion of attempted murder.
He joins two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17 from Southampton, who were also arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remain in custody. The arrests follow an incident where five boys, three aged 16 and two aged 17, were seriously injured.
Authorities reported that a group of about 70 uninvited individuals scaled a fence to gain entry to the party, which was hosted at a property on Park Road. A fight then broke out, leading to the stabbings in the garden and surrounding streets. Four of the five victims have since been discharged from the hospital, but one 17-year-old remains in a life-threatening condition. Police are continuing to review footage and gather witness statements as their investigation proceeds.
The party had reportedly grown significantly larger than intended after another nearby Halloween event was shut down earlier in the evening, leading to approximately 100 young people attending. Eyewitnesses described hearing screams and an "eerie silence" after the fight, followed by the arrival of emergency services.
