Zuzanna Bohojlo, 16, was riding her bicycle to get ice cream in Jozefow, a town in Warsaw, Poland, on Sunday when she was hit by a car. She was on a trip to visit her mother, Karolina, at the time of the incident.
Following the collision, Zuzanna was placed in an induced coma. Family friend Olivia Znajewska shared on Facebook that Zuzanna's mother had requested prayers and messages of support for her daughter. Znajewska described the situation as a tragedy that turned an innocent holiday into a grave emergency.
Zuzanna's sister, Aleksandra, described her as "loud, outgoing, bubbly, kind, full of life and always brings her own energy into a room." Aleksandra has appealed for friends and family to send supportive messages, sharing that her sister possesses a huge heart and remarkable strength.
"We're asking everyone who knows and loves her - and even those who may simply see this post - to leave Zuzanna a message. Talk to her. Tell her you love her. Share a funny memory, tell her a story, remind her of something you've done together, or simply tell her that you're waiting for her to come back to us," Aleksandra stated. The family intends to read the messages to Zuzanna to surround her with positivity during her recovery.
