A 15-year-old boy was hospitalized following an alleged stabbing at Trinity Bay State High School in Cairns, Far North Queensland, on Monday. The student sustained abdominal wounds and was transported to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition.
Another 15-year-old boy reportedly left the school grounds on foot following the incident. Queensland Police located the teenager approximately 30 minutes later near Kanimbla and took him into custody. He is currently cooperating with police as they conduct their investigation.
Authorities have stated that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
