Bedfordshire Police have initiated a murder investigation following a stabbing incident that resulted in the death of a teenage boy in Luton. The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 6:30 p.m. in Kingsway Recreation Ground.
Police responded to reports of a violent disturbance where a group of teenagers were observed carrying large knives. A 17-year-old male, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
One teenage boy has been apprehended on suspicion of violent disorder and is currently in police custody for questioning. A second teenage boy was also arrested but remains hospitalized with serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening. Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that may assist their investigation.
