A suspected pedophile died by suicide as police officers raided his home in the Blue Mountains on Tuesday morning. Detectives from the Sex Crimes Squad were investigating the man for alleged possession of child abuse material.
Officers arrived at the man's residence on Grose Street in Leura shortly after 8 a.m. to execute a search warrant. As officers entered the property, the man inflicted self-harm, according to police.
