A helicopter carrying six people crashed on Mount Ololokwe in Kenya's Samburu county on Tuesday, killing everyone on board, according to air accident officials.
The Eurocopter EC130 B4 was on a scenic flight from a wildlife conservancy in Losaiba to Ewaso Nyiro when the accident occurred at approximately 9:13 a.m. local time, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA) reported.
The Aircraft Accident Investigation Department stated that the identities of the six individuals on board have not yet been confirmed. Local media reports suggest the passengers may have been tourists.
The crash site in Mount Ololokwe is currently not accessible, and the Kenya Red Cross is using drones to assess the scene. The KCAA is coordinating operations, and both the transport ministry and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Department will lead the investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
