Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be invited to attend the G20 summit in Manchester in November 2027, according to Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham. Burnham cited existing sanctions against Russia as the reason for the exclusion.

Burnham announced the decision, stating that the sanctions in place against Russia make Putin's attendance impossible for the international gathering.

The G20 is an international forum for the governments and central bank governors from 19 countries and the European Union. It was founded in 1999 after the East Asian financial crisis.
