Prince Harry is stepping down from his role as chief impact officer at the mental health coaching company BetterUp, transitioning to a senior advisor position. The announcement was made by BetterUp CEO Alexi Robichaux.
Harry joined BetterUp in 2021, with Robichaux noting the Duke of Sussex's "adept understanding of the power of coaching" and his belief that coaching should be universally accessible. In his new capacity, Harry will focus on key projects with large enterprise customers and work alongside BetterUp's team.
Robichaux stated that this shift allows Harry "more time to grow his portfolio of investments, pursue new business opportunities, and continue his support of philanthropic causes close to his heart." BetterUp will also continue its partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, founded by Prince Harry, to support veterans.
This role change comes after Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, reportedly returned to the UK for an extended period with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, and have reportedly settled into a new home there. The transition also occurs shortly after news of Meghan Markle's father, Thomas Markle Sr.'s, arrest on child pornography charges.
