A six-foot python ambushed a family's pet cat in Thailand, prompting the owner to wrestle the snake bare-handed to save his pet. The incident was captured on CCTV.
The snake had reportedly jumped down to eat a piece of fried fish inside the home when it encountered the cat. As the python began to coil around the struggling feline, the owner's mother struck the snake with a bucket. The owner then engaged the python, wrestling it away from the cat with his bare hands.
He managed to trap the snake behind a door until wildlife rescuers arrived to safely remove it. The cat sustained a bite wound but is expected to make a full recovery.
